Apex Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable, high-performance, high-activity enzyme that produces excellent results in PCR reactions. The enzyme is isolated from Thermus aquaticus and has a molecular weight of approximately 94 kDa. It possesses 5'-3' exonuclease activity and leaves an 'A' overhang, which makes it ideal for TA cloning. The robust nature of this enzyme means that Apex Taq can be used with little optimization and will produce consistent results with minimal backgrounds. Apex Taq is free from all non-specific endonucleases, nickases and exonucleases.
Kit includes 10000 units of Apex Taq DNA Polymerase at a concentration of 1 unit/ul for convenient, easy pipetting, 10X NH4-based PCR reaction buffer, which provides optimal conditions for the enzymes and a separate solution of 50mM MgCl2 for optimization.
