The new MultiGene OptiMax™ thermal cycler features faster run times and several advanced features providing premium performance at an affordable price. The MultiGene Optimax employs a new protocol optimization process improving on older gradient features. Unique FlexTemp™ technology effectively separates the 96 well plate into six 4 x 4 regions that allow you to pick the temperatures you want to test against. These regions are easily identified by the blue and black squares visible on the microplate platen. Instead of having the thermal cycler choose temperatures for you, you can now choose any temperatures you want withing a 24°C range.
The MultiGene OptiMax has a heating rate of 4°C/sec and a cooling rate of 3°C/sec which decreases run times. Overshooting and undershooting have also been minimized leading to faster fun times. A new PC Viewer option allows you to connect the thermal cycler to your Windows PC and view the temperature profiles in real time to monitor your system. The fully adjustable, heated lid provides optimal pressure for use with a broad range of microplates and tubes. For optimum performance, the lid can also be programmed to hold different temperatures between 60° to 65°C and 100° to 115°.
