IsoFreeze PCR racks come with a thermochromic gel-filled center which changes from green to yellow or purple to pink. The stark contrast between the colors is used as an indicator if the temperature of the rack rises above the standard refrigeration temperature of 7°C. This ensures protection for temperature-sensitive samples such as PCR reagents, cells or enzymes. The racks are available in three formats – PCR, microtube and SBS. The PCR and microtube designs are ideally used in PCR and tissue culture workflows. As for the SBS footprint design, it provides a more compact option for crowded benchtops or freezers as well as conforming to robotic dimension standards for use in automation protocols.
